Light Blue Dhonekhali Cotton Saree

This soft light blue Dhonekhali saree in handspun cotton is handwoven in a place called Dhonekhali in Hooghly district of West Bengal. This handloom marked saree has an extra broad woven border in gunmetal blue, black and light yellow combination. The border has the typical Dhonekhali fish motifs woven into it. The pallu of the saree has simple plain dual toned black (appears as grey) stripes of varied widths that compliments the bold gorgeous border perfectly. The pallu of the saree is adorned with the trademark ‘khejur chori’ design thread atypical of a Dhonekhali saree. The simplicity of the pallu is complimented with soft tassels in white. This saree comes without a blouse piece.
