This elegant blue Dhonekhali saree in handspun cotton is handwoven in a place known as Dhonekhali in Hooghly district of West Bengal. This handloom marked saree has an extra broad abstract patterned woven border in beautiful pinkish beige colour at the bottom. The broad border at the bottom is matched by a narrower woven border in same colour and pattern on the top. The pallu of the saree is simple, in blue and dual toned pinkish beige colour with the same dual toned pinkish beige stripes in between. It has the trademark ‘khejur chori’ design thread (atypical of a Dhonekhali saree) passing through the pallu. This saree doesn’t come with a blouse piece.
