Cream Multicolor Gacchi Tussar Nakshi Kantha Saree

This handcrafted saree comes from the artisans of Birbhum district in West Bengal. This cream gacchi tussar saree has kantha work in multiple colours. The technique of embroidery used for this saree is known as Nakshi Kantha which was derived from the Bengali word ‘Naksha’ which refers to artistic patterns. This saree has heavy embroidery that covers half the saree including pallu. The rest half of the saree has the same embroidery as a broad border. The saree comes with a plain blouse piece in cream colour with a thin multicolour striped embroidery along the border.
