Description
This piece of art is a Katan silk saree woven and hand painted in the town of Bishnupur of Bankura district of West Bengal. This silk mark mulberry silk saree is in a soothing pista green colour and has a simple striped border in brick red and black. The bottom border is adorned with blocks of various landscapes from rural Bengal which are hand painted beautifully. The pallu of the saree is brick red in colour with similar hand painted blocks depicting rural Bengal on it. This saree has a matching blouse piece with thin strips of brick red and black as the border.
This saree has quite a contemporary appeal and is suitable for any special event at your work place. It is also suitable for a formal social gathering. It’s a light weight saree having a silky smooth texture which is very comfortable to drape and carry. This saree goes well with either tribal jewellery or stone/beads jewellery.
