Description
This stunning handloom cotton Jamdani saree comes from East Bardhman district of West Bengal. This black saree has ‘charkona’ (rectangular) jamdani motifs in white on the entire body of the saree. The technique of weaving makes the motifs appear as if they are floating on the fabric. The saree has a narrow border in white with a few thin stripes which is further decked up with jamdani temple motifs in white. The attractive pallu of the saree is a combination of stripes and ‘butidar’ (small flowers) motifs in white with large ‘fulwar’ (flower) motifs that form the central theme of the pallu. The pallu is also adorned with long black tassels. The saree comes with a plain blouse piece in black with thin white border.
This saree is suitable for business meetings and conferences or for a casual get together. This saree goes very well with antique silver jewellery or stone/beads jewellery.
