Black N Mustard Dhonekhali Cotton Saree

This intricately woven black and mustard Dhonekhali saree in handspun cotton, comes from a place known as Dhonekhali in Hooghly district of West Bengal. This handloom marked saree has aztec-like horizontal pattern in mustard accompanied with mustard stripes woven all over the black base of the saree. The saree has broad plain mustard border with ikkat like pattern in black and mustard that beautifully overlaps the border as well as the body of the saree. The pallu of the saree has mustard broad and narrow stripes that run vertically over the aztec-like pattern. The pallu of the saree is adorned with the trademark ‘khejur chori’ design thread atypical of a Dhonekhali saree. This saree doesn’t come with a blouse piece.
