White With Turmeric Yellow N Moss Green Dhonekhali Cotton Saree

This crisp handloom marked Dhonekhali cotton saree, comes from a small town known as Dhonekhali in Hooghly district of West Bengal. This white saree has a beautiful horizontal design with narrow stripes in turmeric yellow and moss green colours. Horizontal blocks of aztec-like pattern in the same colour combination appear in between the stripes to cover the entire body of the saree. The saree has broad plain ganga jamuna border in turmeric yellow and moss green colours. The pallu of the saree has simple stripes of varying widths in turmeric yellow and moss green that run vertically over the horizontal design. The pallu is adorned with the trademark ‘khejur chori’ design thread atypical of a Dhonekhali saree. This saree doesn’t come with a blouse piece.

The saree is soft and breezy and is perfect for the hot days of summer. It’s a good choice for work wear too. This saree can be paired with a variety of jewellery, from terracotta to beads and stone jewellery.
