Cream With Red N Black Begumpuri Cotton Saree

This stunning cotton saree in cream colour is handwoven in the small town of Begumpur in Hooghly district of West Bengal. This handloom mark saree has a broad ganga-jamuna border in red with black and white stripes on it at the bottom. The bottom border is complimented by the top border which is in black with red and white stripes on it. The contrasting borders make the saree look quite appealing. The body of the saree has extra weft paisley motifs woven as vertical stripes in red. The frequency of the extra weft woven stripes increases towards the pallu of the saree. Paisley motif stripes alternates with diamond motifs stripes to make the pallu look quite attractive. The pallu further has blocks of pure white that makes it quite distinctive. This saree comes without a blouse piece.
