We call this a fusion saree - a seamless blend of Bengal’s hand batik and Andhra’s hand-painted Kalamkari, crafted on a classic Bengal’s gachi zari check tussar silk base.

This zari check tussar silk saree is beautifully dyed in three hues, beginning with a rich mustard shade at the top that gradually transitions into an antique ruby tone at the center and finally deepens to purple towards the bottom. The body features square zari woven throughout the length, complimented by broad zari borders on both sides. Enhancing its charm further are white batik dots of varying sizes, created using the traditional hand batik technique.

The pallu of the saree is adorned with hand-painted Kalmakari floral motifs on a soft light yellow base, creating an elegant contrast. This saree comes with a light yellow blouse piece highlighted with painted Kalamkari designs that echo the detailing on the pallu.
