Lavender Matka Muslin Silk Shell Sequin Zari Jamdani Saree

This soothing lavender matka muslin silk saree is woven in West Bengal. This plain silk-marked matka silk saree has vertical stripes woven on the body of the entire saree using muslin silk. The stripes are embellished with shell sequins. The sequin work done here is extra special as the sequins are woven into at the time of weaving the saree, termed as “pocket sequin” and are not stitched to the saree. This ensures that the sequins remain permanently attached. The pallu of the saree is also lavender in colour and is made out of muslin silk. The entire pallu has large jamdani motifs woven using silver and gold zari. The entire pallu is adorned with shell sequins that are woven using the same ‘pocket sequin’ technique. The pallu of the saree also has thin tassels in the same base colour. The saree comes with a matching plain blouse piece in matka silk with a shell sequin adorned transparent patch in muslin silk. This transparent muslin silk patch adds an extra oomph to the drape as it can be used creatively to design a gorgeous blouse to go with the saree.
