Maroon Multicolour Border N Jute-Ghicha Pallu Handloom Cotton Saree

This elegant handloom cotton saree is woven by skilled weavers from Phulia in Nadia district, West Bengal.

The saree features a plain base in a dual toned maroon colour achieved by interweaving beige colour yarn. The saree is crafted using the traditional missing weave technique. Its highlight is the striking broad striped border in a beautiful palette of bright orange, teal green, purplish blue, maroon and beige. The pallu showcases horizontal stripes in lighter shades of purple, orange and teal green along both the edges, while the center is adorned with a textured block woven using jute and ghicha yarns, adding a unique artisanal touch. The pallu is finished with exquisite long braided tassels. A matching running blouse piece is included, featuring the same dual toned maroon base and broad multicolour striped borders. The saree comes lightly starched for structure but will soften beautifully after a couple of washes.
