Description
This handwoven, handcrafted Khesh saree with kantha work is from Birbhum district of West Bengal. This beautiful Khesh saree is in dual toned grey colour. Typical to this sustainable fabric, the saree has pinkish multi-coloured stripes all over the body and the palllu. To accentuate the beauty of the saree, kantha work is done on the saree using multicoloured thread in the shades of red, yellow, green, blue and black. Delicate floral pattern is being used to form vertical stripes using kantha work. These vertical stripes are present in between the khesh stripes throughout the body. On the pallu, kantha work done in between the khesh stripes is much denser. Paisley-like design pattern is used for the kantha work. The pallu also has black tassels to compliment the saree. This saree comes with a blouse piece in same dual toned grey colour with khesh stripes and multicolored floral kantha work done along the border.
This soft cotton saree is extremely comfortable and is perfect for your office or an outing. This saree is breathable in summer and equally cozy in light winter. This saree can be paired with a variety of jewelry ranging from fabric-based to terracotta to oxidized silver jewelry.
