Description
This handwoven, handcrafted Khesh saree with kantha work is from Birbhum district of West Bengal. This beautiful Khesh saree in orange colour has all over jharna (showering) pattern. Typical to this sustainable fabric, the saree has orangish multi-coloured stripes all over the body and the palllu. To accentuate the beauty of the saree, kantha work is done on the saree in white colour. Delicate stripes and floral motifs using kantha work is done alternatively in between the khesh stripes throughout the body. On the pallu, kantha work is much denser in between the khesh stripes. The pallu also has tassels that matches the colour of the saree. This saree comes with a blouse piece in orange colour with khesh stripes and kantha work done along the border.
