Purple With Turmeric Yellow N Magenta Dhonekhali Cotton Saree

This vibrant handloom marked Dhonekhali cotton saree, comes from a place known as Dhonekhali in Hooghly district of West Bengal. This purple saree has a beautiful horizontal design with narrow white stripes that alternates with horizontal aztec-like pattern in turmeric yellow and magenta, covering the entire body of the saree. The saree has broad plain ganga-jamuna border in turmeric and magenta colours. The pallu of the saree has simple stripes of varying width in turmeric and magenta colours that run vertically over the horizontal design. The pallu is adorned with the trademark ‘khejur chori’ design thread atypical of a Dhonekhali saree and is complimented with long tassels. This saree doesn’t come with a blouse piece.

This saree is an absolute summer staple. The saree is extremely comfortable and would see you through the entire day. This saree can be paired with either fabric, beads or oxidized silver jewellery.
