Sandy Brown Begumpuri Cotton Saree

This handloom mark handspun cotton saree is handwoven in the small town of Begumpur in Hooghly district of West Bengal. This saree is in sandy brown colour having woven ganga jamuna border in red and black. The solid coloured borders have paisley-like motifs woven all along its length. The saree has extra weft woven vertical stripes in red and black positioned alternatively all over the body and on the pallu. The frequency of vertical stripes increase towards the pallu making the drape look quite appealing. This saree doesn’t come with a blouse piece.

This light weight, comfortable saree is perfect for a regular day at office or for a casual outing. This saree would look perfect with some handmade fabric jewelry.
