Orange Handloom Cotton Jamdani Saree

Description

This bright handloom cotton Jamdani saree comes from East Bardhman district of West Bengal. This orange saree has ‘duria’ (resembling polka dots) jamdani motifs in red and cream colour on the entire body of the saree. The technique of weaving makes the motifs appear as if they are floating on the fabric. The saree has a narrow stripes in black and lawn green colour on the opposite borders. The attractive pallu of the saree is a combination of stripes in cream colour and small ‘duria’ (polka dots) motif in cream and red colours with ‘fulwar’ (flower) motifs that form the central theme of the pallu. The pallu is also adorned with long orange tassels. The saree comes with a plain blouse piece in orange with thin black and lawn green stripes on the opposite borders.

This saree is a good choice to brighten up any regular day at work and for a casual outing in summers. This saree goes very well with fabric, terracotta or stone/beads jewellery.
