Are all your sarees handmade?

Tantutvaa believes in promoting handmade products. Almost all sarees that we sell are handwoven. In some cases, even if power loom is used to weave the fabric, the saree definitely has some other handmade elements like embroidery or painting.

Are the sarees displayed here exactly the same as we get?

Yes, the sarees are exactly the same. We take utmost care in ensuring that the pictures taken are of high resolution and clear. We try to showcase as much detailing of the saree as possible. Sometimes, the colour may have slight variation due to the limitation in lighting and photography. Also, the same picture may appear slightly different depending on your device screen (laptop, phone or tablet).

Are all sarees accompanied with a blouse piece?

No, not all sarees come with a blouse piece. Whether a saree comes with blouse piece or not is clearly mentioned in the saree description. Additionally, we display the picture of the blouse piece separately if the saree is accompanied with one.

Do I need to register in order to place an order?

You don't need to register with us in order to place an order. We only ask you to share your email address or mobile number during checkout. This is primarily done to ensure that we can inform you about the delivery status of your order from time to time. It also helps our logistic company to contact you for delivery, if needed.

How can I purchase an item if it is already sold out?

Generally, the products are unique. If you are interested in a particular item and the product is sold out, you can write to us at We will contact our weavers/artisans to see if another unit can be produced and accordingly inform you about the same.

Can I place order over SMS or WhatsApp?

No, we do not take orders over SMS and WhatsApp. Being an online platform, we only take orders on our platform. This in turn helps us to serve you better by providing real-time stock availability and by capturing the accurate shipping address. Also, it gives you an easy way to track your order through our platform till you receive the same. This end-to-end support cannot be provided if you place your order over SMS or WhatsApp.

Does Tantutvaa provide the option to gift orders?

At present gift option is not available on the website. We will soon be starting with this service.

How do I apply coupon code?

After you add your selected product(s) to the cart, you have to first initiate the checkout process. During checkout, you would get an option to enter coupon code. Please make sure that you click the 'Apply' button to effect the discount.

How are taxes charged for my order?

The price displayed for each product is inclusive of all taxes. There is no additional tax that you need to pay. A per the new unified tax norm laid down by the Government of India, Goods and Service Tax (GST) is charged at the rate of 5% on your orders placed within India. The same is already included in the product price as displayed on the website.

Are there any hidden charges like taxes etc. when I order a product?

There are absolutely no hidden charges. All taxes are included with the product price as displayed on the product pages of the website. We offer free shipping. For international orders, applicable shipping charges are displayed during the checkout process and the customers need to bear the charges. For such orders, the customer might have to bear custom duty or other applicable charges outside our website, if required as per the local custom rules. There are no additional shipping or any other cost besides what is already mentioned on the website.

I have paid, but not received any order confirmation over email?

If you don't receive an order confirmation email even after completing the purchase on the website, please check your spam/junk folder to see if the order confirmation email has been delivered to the mentioned folders. If the email is found in the junk/spam folder, make sure that you mark the mail as "Not a spam" or add the address to your address book.

How can I check the status of my order?

You can check the status of your order from My Account section on the website by accessing the order details of a specific order. The fulfillment status of the order is available under order details.

Is your website secure enough for carrying out credit/debit card transactions?

Our trusted payment partners use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology to protect your card information. All your personal and payment information is transmitted using the https protocol over SSL. We do not store your card information on our website. Your card information is safe with our payment solution providers.

What modes of payment do you accept?

We accept all VISA, MasterCard and Amex credit and debit cards net banking and Cash-on-Delivery (COD). We also accept UPIs like Bhim UPI and Google Pay. At present we accept international cards powered by Mastercard and Visa through Razorpay payment gateway.

Can I pay via EMI?

We want you to enjoy shopping at your convenience. We have partnered with Sezzle so that you can enjoy interest free EMIs and make the payment in 4 equal installments over 6 weeks.

Is COD option available for payments?

Yes, COD or Cash-On-Delivery option is available for more than 26000 postcodes all over India. COD option is available for orders with order value less than Rs. 6000/-. Note, COD is not available for international orders.

Is there any extra charges for COD?

Yes, COD handling charges are applicable for COD orders. The charges varies based on your order value. For order value less than Rs. 3000/-, a COD charge of Rs. 75/- is applicable and for order value between Rs. 3001/- and Rs. 6000/-, a COD charge of Rs. 125/- is applicable.

Can I pay by Debit/Credit Card on delivery of my COD order?

In case of COD orders, the payment can only be made by cash. Please keep the exact change ready before the delivery guy attempt the delivery.

I forgot to use my discount code, while placing the order. Is there anyway that I can avail it now?

Oops! We are sorry to hear that.
Discount codes are valid upon application of the same at the time of placing the order. We can't retrospectively apply discount codes once the order is placed.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we have recently start delivering to USA, Canada, UK, UAE and Singapore. We are also planning to extend international delivery to other countries too. We provide best and cheapest shipping charges for our international orders.

What are the shipping charges that I have to pay to order any product?

There are no shipping charges for delivery anywhere within India. For outside India, shipping charges are calculated and displayed during checkout and the charges need to be borne by the customer. Shipping charges are based on weight. Any custom duty or VAT has to be borne by the customer.

How long will delivery take?

We generally dispatch your orders to our logistic partners within 24-48 working hours of placing the order. COD orders are however a little delayed than prepaid orders as they are subject to confirmations. Due to this, processing of COD orders can take an extra time of 24 – 48 hours. Once the order is shipped, you may expect about 4-7 business days for the order to be delivered to you within India. For international orders, it may take between 10-12 business days after the order is dispatched. For all our international orders, sarees are given a complimentary fall and edging. Due to this, we need about a week’s time to get the order ready for dispatch.

Can I change my shipping address after I place the order?

Generally, we dispatch the order to our logistic partners within 24-48 hours of placing the order. We can accept your request for change of address till we are in possession of the package. Once it is dispatched to our logistic partners, any request for change of address cannot be accommodated. In case, you want to change the shipping address within 24-48 hours of placing the order, you can send us an email to with your change requests. We will send you a reply to confirm if we are able to make the change.

How can I track my order?

Once the order is shipped which is usually within 24-48 hours of placing the order, we will send you an email updating the fulfillment of the order and subsequent to that we will send another email with the tracking number once it is generated. You can also track your order from My Account section on the website by accessing the order details. Once the order is shipped, tracking information of your order is available under order details.

What happens if I am not available to receive the order?

Our logistic partner will attempt to deliver your order thrice at the specified shipping address before it is returned back to our warehouse. Please make sure that you provide correct mobile number while placing the order so that the delivery guy can contact you if needed. The same applies to international orders too. In case of COD orders, please ensure that someone is available to accept the order and pay the cash by tendering the exact change.

What should I do if my order hasn’t been delivered yet?

To check the delivery status of your order, you should check the tracking information of your order either by accessing your order details on our website or by referring to the email that we send you with tracking information. If you are not satisfied with the tracking update, then either leave a message to us using the form provided on Contact Us page or directly email us at We will look into it for you and get back to you at the earliest.

Returns Related

Can I return a product if I don’t like it?

You can return a product if the product you received is either damaged or incorrect. However, we would like to mention that since these are handloom/handmade products, there are chances of slight uneven variation. These are not defects and on the contrary, acts as a proof of being handmade. Similarly, due to photographic lighting sources and different devices used to view the displayed product, the colour you see may vary slightly from the actual colour of the product. Therefore, we will not be able to accept any return request under colour difference.

Please note return or order cancellation would not be accepted at the time of delivery. There is a separate return process which one needs to follow to initiate return. To read about our return process, please refer our Return Policy here.

Can I return an item for an exchange instead of refund?

Since most of our products are unique, we do not provide exchange facility.

Who will bear the shipping charges for returns?

For domestic orders, we will pay the shipping charges for returns. We will arrange for a pickup by our logistic partner. For international orders, customers have to arrange return shipping. In this case, customer will have to bear the cost of return shipping.

How soon is the refund amount going to be settled?

The refund amount will be credited to you within 7 business days of receiving the product back at our warehouse. The refund will be made through the same mode as you initially selected to make the payment for the order. In case of COD orders, return would be made through bank transfer via NEFT. In this case, while returning the product you must send along a cancelled cheque of your bank account to which you would like to receive the refund back.

How can I cancel my order?

You can cancel your order or part of your order at any point of time prior to the initiation of shipment process. In this case, we will refund the entire order amount if you are canceling the entire order. Once the shipment process begins, your order will no longer be eligible for cancellation. Please email your cancellation requests at

What if I receive an incorrect item?

We take utmost care in ensuring that we send you exactly the same product that you have ordered after a thorough quality check. Despite that if such a situation arise that you receive a completely wrong product, please email us the picture of the product that you received to within 48 hours of receiving the product. We will look into this and take necessary action to ensure that you get the correct item. For international orders, we will look into this and take necessary action on case-by-case basis.

Will you accept returns if I have bought products in sale?

No, any product that has been purchased on offer/sale is not eligible for return.

Setting up your account on our website is very simple. You just need to specify your full name, email address and password. You can enjoy following benefits by creating an account:
