Light Grey N Black Dhonekhali Cotton Saree

This intricately woven light grey and black Dhonekhali saree comes from a place known as Dhonekhali in Hooghly district of West Bengal. This handloom marked saree has small diamond shaped patterns woven all over the light grey base of the saree using black yarn. The saree has broad plain light grey border that is accompanied by black stripes on the edges. The plain border is decorated with diamond patterns woven in black. The pallu of the saree has simple stripes of varying width in white that run vertically over small diamond patterns of the body. The pallu of the saree is adorned with the trademark ‘khejur chori’ design thread atypical of a Dhonekhali saree. This saree doesn’t come with a blouse piece.
