Description
This soft handloom cotton Jamdani saree is woven in East Bardhman district of West Bengal. This lilac saree has broad border in burnished brown and cerulean blue colour. Small fish like jamdani motifs in olive green, cerulean blue and purplish blue beautifies the entire body of the saree. The technique of weaving makes the motifs appear as if they are floating on the fabric. The attractive pallu of the saree is a combination of stripes in purpulish blue, fish motifs in same colours as the body with ‘toradar’ (large flower) lotus motifs in olive green, cerulean blue and purpulish blue as the dominant theme of the pallu. The pallu is also adorned with long lilac and cerulean blue tassels. The saree comes with a blouse piece in magenta colour with purpulish blue thin stripes running through the entire piece.
This saree is a good choice to brighten up any regular day at work and for a casual outing in summers. This saree goes very well with stone/beads jewellery or fabric jewellery.
