Description
This stunning dual-toned handspun cotton Jamdani saree is woven in East Bardhman district of West Bengal. The dual tone of this saree has been achieved by weaving in magenta yarns with dark teal threads. Small ‘tara’ (star) jamdani motifs in white and dark teal adorns the entire body of the saree. The technique of weaving makes the motifs appear as if they are floating on the fabric. The saree has a narrow dark teal border with multiple stripes in zari. The attractive pallu of the saree is a combination of stripes in white, small 'duria' (polka dots) and ‘fulwar’ (flower) motifs in white and dark teal and large ‘korat’ (saw) motifs in the same colour combination. The pallu is also adorned with long magenta and dark teal tassels. The saree comes with a blouse piece in magenta colour with white thin stripes running through the entire piece with the same dark teal and zari border.
This saree is a good choice to brighten up any regular day at work and for a casual evening outing in summers. This saree goes very well with stone/beads jewellery.
