Description
This beautiful handspun cotton Jamdani saree comes from East Bardhman district of West Bengal. The dual tone of this saree has been achieved by weaving in russet brown yarns with black threads. Small ‘duria’ (resembling polka dots) jamdani motifs in cream beautifies the entire body of the saree. The technique of weaving makes the motifs appear as if they are floating on the fabric. The saree has a narrow border in dark brown and beige with a few thin stripes which is further decked up with jamdani temple motifs in cream. The pallu of the saree is a combination of stripes, rhombus and ‘fulwar’ (flower) motifs in cream. The pallu is also adorned with long russet brown tassels. The saree comes with a plain blouse piece in russet brown colour with dark brown and beige border.
This saree is suitable for business meetings and conferences or for a casual outing during summers. This saree goes very well with terracotta or stone/beads jewellery. Going easy with styling is the trick to look classy in this saree.
