Olive Green Handspun Cotton Jamdani Saree

Description

This beautiful dual-toned handspun cotton Jamdani saree is woven in East Bardhman district of West Bengal. The dual tone of this saree has been accomplished by weaving in olive green yarns with burgundy threads. Small ‘tara’ (star) jamdani motifs in white, turquoise and pink adorns the entire body of the saree. The technique of weaving makes the motifs appear as if they are floating on the fabric. The saree has a thin light green border with a few stripes. The attractive pallu of the saree has plant motifs in white, turquoise and pink as the dominant theme which is decked up with a combination of stripes, star and heart motifs in the same colour combination. The pallu is also adorned with long burgundy tassels. The saree comes with a blouse piece in olive green colour with light green thin stripes running through the entire piece.

The soft and subtle design of the saree makes it perfect for work and also for casual outings in summer. This saree goes very well with either fabric jewellery or stone/beads jewellery. Basically, any light jewellery goes well with this saree. Going easy with styling is the trick to look classy in this saree.
